2. Tasks/Decisions

3. Monday, 10/02

The Headmistress of the school of venue, opened the meeting officially.
The regional Ambassador of eTwinning delivered to the school the award and the certificate as we are considered an eTwinning school due to our work using this educational platform.
After the presentation from all teachers’ participants, the students presented themselves, their schools and regions/countries.
The activities with old people occurred in the gymnasium of our school instead of being in the centre of old people because we have very good conditions for all activities planned. The sport teacher Carla Mata planned and led a set of traditional games where students, teachers and old people participated all together.

Tuesday, 11/02

After the official meeting in the Town Hall we visited the Madeira Theme’s Park. Time to learn a lot of things about the island: history, economy, geography, geology, etc.
The activity of volunteering with young people took place in a primary school. Again, the sport’s teacher Carla Mata planned and led a set of traditional games where students, teachers and young students participated all together. There, due to the rain it was impossible to “paint” with “hand prints” the “Tree of Volunteering” in one of the walls of that school.

Wednesday, 12/02

Chance to compare the old roads in the northern part of the island with the new one on the southern part. On the one hand, we can see the bravery of the men that, in the first middle of twentieth century, committed all their effort associated with a great sense of volunteering to clear, break, cut and drill the rock, using the strength of their arms to allow the villages to be connected. On the other hand, the use of more advanced techniques, in the first decade of the 21st century, thanks to external financing (EU) that allows faster displacements.
On the way, time to visit a museum that emerged from a volunteer project. Unemployed people are recruited to work there, either in the museum, or in the homemade manufacture of typical homemade Santana bread, or in the making of various traditional cakes and cookies.

Thursday, 13/02

Due to the rain we couldn’t walk in “levadas” and clean the forest. The first levadas (irrigation channels) were built in the 15th century when the colonization of the island started. Then, they needed to bring, from the north, rich in water, to the south full of agriculture, this precious liquid. Here, again a very hard hand work, to build them.. More than 1500km of length in a land with a little more than 770Km2 of area, there are. Anyway we had the chance to go to clean the beach.
Friday, 14/02
Visit to Funchal, having, again, the chance to compare old roads and new ones. Landscapes, beautiful views, emotion, versus speed.
Visit to Tropical Garden with a big botanical diversity, as well visit to an exhibition of African sculptures and minerals of the whole world.
Visit to “Jardim da Quinta Vigia” (Garden of Governmental Palace). Meeting with the President of Regional Government of Madeira, Mr. Miguel Albuquerque.
Farewell Party, delivery of certificates, logo contest; creation and exchanging meeting impressions and experiences on the poster-exposition under the topic “Intergenerational friendship offer unique benefits”; certificates ceremony.

In this meeting we decided that:

●All official documents of the project meetings: Declarations, List of Participants, Certificates, Meeting Minutes etc., have to include Erasmus+ logo as well as the project logo and have to be uploaded to Google Drive.

●All the presentations made by students have to contain the information of copyrights and all sources used for the presentations must be indicated; Students have to add the necessary information to their ready-made presentations and upload them to Google Drive. Deadline - April 1st.

●After the volunteering activities with old people, a video-report of the activity will be created by Danish students.

●For the next meetings, instead of an individual presentation for each student, each team/country has to make a common video (max. 5 minutes), where all students will present themselves.

●During this farewell party every student and teacher will write their impressions or experiences on a paper panel (exposition) under the topic “Intergenerational friendship offer unique benefits”. Hands will be drawn with a message inside.

● Erasmus+ magazine 1 will be created by Danish partner. By the 1st of April every pupil prepares a folder with his/her written impressions, pictures and experiences during the LTTA on Madeira. Those folders have to be uploaded to Google Drive by coordinators.

●By the 1st of April all the students at every partner school have to update the information on their school Erasmus+ corners and disseminate the LTTA on Madeira there.

• For a photography exhibition “Our beautiful nature” every pupil-project participant chooses the best his/her photo (10X15) from every LTTA and project coordinators upload them to Google Drive. It was decided to make the
contest-exhibition in Lithuania during the last farewell party.

• In the evaluation of the project meeting every participant pupil/teacher takes part. Deadline - April 1st.

• All the project participants continue working on the ideas/proposals of our tangible output “Call to Action” guide with a slogan “Volunteering can be the best experience of your life!” as well as they continue their exploration of the
new ways of volunteering in the field of international collaboration.

For LTTA C3 “The Nature and Environment Connection through Volunteering” in Palma de Mallorca we decided:
• To have outdoor volunteering activities of planting trees “Healthy parks - healthy people!” in the nature reserve of La Trapa in collaboration with an organisations GOB and ONG.

• To have outdoor volunteering cleaning the beach under the logo “Leave nothing on beach but footprints!” in the National Nature Park of Cala Mondrago. Rubbish classification and analysis of different kinds of it.

• Students from every partner country do the research and create Power Point Presentations as well as write opinion/argument article on the topic “Environmental protection in our country.” for the presentation and
discussion of the topic.

• Students have to analyze the topic and search the arguments for and against for the debates on the topic “Does volunteering do more harm than good?”

• Integrated lesson of Spanish language has to be organized through the use of fun group games and activities.
